A new adventure

I am a big believer in this quote ‘life’s a journey and not a destination’. As you might have noticed, a lot of my work is literally a reflection of my journey so far and will carry on to do so.

I am delighted to share that in the next couple of days, I am moving to Japan for a year. It is an exciting opportunity for me to get a glimpse into a completely different world and life there.

In case you are wondering what happens to the shoes, the brand? We will continue selling our existing collection online. As most of you know we’ve moved away from wholesale, initiated with our crowdfunding campaign a few months ago. We now sell directly through Etsy and our own website. The shoe artisans we work with in Italy will continue making our shoes whenever we create a new design or go into production. Please bear with us, the process and time would be slow but without a doubt, it will still be made with our heart and soul.

This new journey in Japan will bring new inspirations, new ideas that I am curious to explore and share with you as much as I can. It will be best to follow us on any of our social platforms to stay updated.

Until the next post, have a great summer!

A maple leaf motif on one of the walls of a Zen temple in Kyoto. A distinct reminder of my ‘Maple boots’, one of my early designs during my first autumn-winter seasons in the UK.
On my first visit to Kyoto a few years ago in the autumn, I came across this precious piece of craft — an Obi, an accessory part of the Kimono. The colors and the embroidery were a reflection of the season.

  1. Good luck on your adventure! By the way, I just stopped in to check out your items for sale on Etsy, and WOW! Truly beautiful stuff. Will have to spend more time looking around when I have a minute.
